Doha Metro Gold Line | Golden opportunity for Doha Metro commuters

Doha: The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) has announced that the trial operation of the Doha Metro Gold Line will start for the public from today (Thursday, November 21).

Doha Metro Gold Line extends from Ras Bu Abboud Station to Al Aziziyah Station.

The Gold Line, which runs from East to West across Doha, includes the following 11 stations:

Ras Abboud, National Museum, Souq Waqif, Musheireb, Bin Mahmoud, Al Sadd, Sudan, Jawaan, Al Waab, Sports City and Aziziyah.

Operation timings for the Doha Metro Gold Line will be the same as those for the Red Line –

  • Saturday through Thursday from 06:00 to 23:00
  • Friday will be from 14:00 to 23:00

To cover a wider range and serve more neighborhoods and areas adjacent to the stations, new routes will be allocated to the Metro Link service, which is a shuttle bus service to transport passengers from neighboring areas to and from the metro stations.

National Address Law to be introduced soon – The process of registering the data of the national address for citizens and residents could be done through Metrash2 app or MoI service centres. An office will be allocated to facilitate the process of registering national address of the citizens. The National Address Section will be based in Onaizah Service Centre. A legal representative can also furnish the details on behalf of the resident. For minor children, the guardians have to register the data and they will be responsible for the legal transactions and the validity of the given data
