  1. October 2nd is declared as “International Day of Non-Violence by United Nations General Assembly
  2. The Time Magazine named Mahatma Gandhi as, the Man of the year in 1930
  3. Gandhiji was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize five times. But he did not receive it (The committee regrets not giving him the Nobel Peace Prize to this day as the award is never given posthumously – Source)
