Ministry of External Affairs, India has published updated (as on 13 Sep 2020) list of repatriation flights schedule for the month of September under the Vande Bharat Mission (VBM).

Air bubble between India and Qatar | Flights from 18 August to 31 August 2020

The Embassy of India, Doha in a recent announcement stated that, India has created an “Air Bubble” with Qatar to facilitate travel between the two countries.

This arrangement of Air Bubble between India and Qatar is valid from 18th August to 31 August 2020.

A. From India to Qatar 

  1. Qatari Nationals
  2. Any Indian national holding any type of valid Qatar visa and destined for Qatar only. It would be for the concerned airlines to ensure that there is no travel restriction for Indian nationals to enter Qatar with the particular visa category before the issue of ticket/ boarding pass to the Indian passenger.

B. From Qatar to India

  1. Indian nationals stranded in Qatar.
  2. All Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders holding Qatari passports, and
  3. Qatari nationals (including diplomats) holding a valid visa issued by an Indian mission in any category covered under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) guidelines dated 30 June 2020.

The designated airlines of both the sides will be permitted to sell tickets between India and Qatar in each direction through their websites, sales agents, and global distribution systems (GDS).

Before making any reservations in the flights being operated under the above arrangements, the passenger must confirm that they would be allowed entry into the destination country.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India has posted list of repatriation flights under the Vande Bharat Mission (VBM) for the month of July 2020 (dynamic list and is bound to undergo changes). Flights to India from Doha commences from 8th July (Wed) to various destinations in India. It includes flights from Doha to Lucknow, Mumbai, Trivandrum, Kochi, Kozhikode, Kannur, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai.

Below is the complete schedule of flights from Doha (updated on 18 July 2020) – (Source: mea.gov.in)

Thousands of Indians are waiting to fly back to India and this new list will benefits Indian nationals who desperately waiting to travel to India.

Earlier in a tweet by Civil Aviation Ministry stated, “Private Airlines will have significant participation in Phase-4 of VBM. Among others, IndiGo will operate 238 flights from Qatar & 219 flights from Kuwait; while GoAir will operate 41 flights from Kuwait. Number of pvt carriers, flights & destinations likely to increase,”.

Revised list of repatriation flights to India from Doha | June 2020 Schedule (updated on 14 June)

Embassy of India Doha tweeted updated list of repatriation flights for the complete month of June 2020. Revised list includes few more Indian cities which were not part of the previous schedule. Flights from Doha to Trivandrum, Kannur, Kozhikode, Trichy, Delhi, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Bhubhaneswar via Delhi, Amristar / Srinagar, Kolkata / Bhuvaneswar, Ahmedabad, Madurai and Coimbatore are scheduled until 30th June 2020.

Under the Vande Bharat Mission, Indians in Qatar are being repatriated back to India. Phase-2 of repatriation is in progress and as on today 9th of June 2020, 21 flights from Doha has left to India carrying 3506 passengers from Qatar, plus  98 infants.

List of repatriation flights to India from Doha for the ongoing Phase-2: 09-June to 19-June 2020

Embassy of India Doha in a recent tweet shared a list of flights scheduled to leave Doha to various Indian cities for the ongoing phase-2 from 9th June to 19th June 2020. Flights from Doha to Mumbai, Delhi, Trichy, Lucknow, Madurai, Kannur, Kochi, Trivandrum and Kozhikode are scheduled between 09th June to 17th June 2020.

Under the Vande Bharat Mission, Indians in Qatar are being repatriated back to India. Phase-2 of repatriation is in progress and as on today 4th of June 2020, 19 flights from Doha has left to India carrying 3155 passengers from Qatar, plus  87 infants.

The third phase of Vande Bharat Mission is set to commence by mid of June and will be carried out until 30th of June 2020. So far under the Vande Bharat Mission (VBM) repatriation process which started on 7th of May 2020, 213 flights has brought back around 50000 stranded Indians.
