Revised list of repatriation flights to India from Doha | June 2020 Schedule (updated on 14 June)

Embassy of India Doha tweeted updated list of repatriation flights for the complete month of June 2020. Revised list includes few more Indian cities which were not part of the previous schedule. Flights from Doha to Trivandrum, Kannur, Kozhikode, Trichy, Delhi, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Bhubhaneswar via Delhi, Amristar / Srinagar, Kolkata / Bhuvaneswar, Ahmedabad, Madurai and Coimbatore are scheduled until 30th June 2020.

Under the Vande Bharat Mission, Indians in Qatar are being repatriated back to India. Phase-2 of repatriation is in progress and as on today 9th of June 2020, 21 flights from Doha has left to India carrying 3506 passengers from Qatar, plus  98 infants.

List of repatriation flights to India from Doha for the ongoing Phase-2: 09-June to 19-June 2020

Embassy of India Doha in a recent tweet shared a list of flights scheduled to leave Doha to various Indian cities for the ongoing phase-2 from 9th June to 19th June 2020. Flights from Doha to Mumbai, Delhi, Trichy, Lucknow, Madurai, Kannur, Kochi, Trivandrum and Kozhikode are scheduled between 09th June to 17th June 2020.

Under the Vande Bharat Mission, Indians in Qatar are being repatriated back to India. Phase-2 of repatriation is in progress and as on today 4th of June 2020, 19 flights from Doha has left to India carrying 3155 passengers from Qatar, plus  87 infants.

The third phase of Vande Bharat Mission is set to commence by mid of June and will be carried out until 30th of June 2020. So far under the Vande Bharat Mission (VBM) repatriation process which started on 7th of May 2020, 213 flights has brought back around 50000 stranded Indians.

Air India will shortly shift to direct ticketing to facilitate bookings abroad : Dr. S. Jaishankar – External affairs minister of India

Under the Vande Bharat Mission, Indian government has been bringing back Indians from abroad in phases. 173 flights and 3 ships has been involved so far covering 34 countries. So far under Vande Bharat Mission, 9 flights with 1520 passengers plus 45 infants has been repatriated from Qatar.

Dr. S. Jaishankar, external affairs minister of India had a detailed review meeting of Vande Bharat Mission on Tuesday. He held this review meeting with officials from all the agencies and ministries involved in the repatriation exercise.

The government plans to bring back 1,00,000 Indian nationals stranded in as many as 60 countries in the on-going second phase of the Vande Bharat Mission (VBM), said Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar. He also added that, Air India will shortly shift to direct ticketing to facilitate bookings abroad.

Dr. S. Jaishankar in a series of tweets on after concluding the review meeting with officials from MEA India, MoCA GoI, Air Iindia, MHA, DMA, Bureau of Immigration he said,

  • Focus of meeting was to ramp up the scale of Vande Bharat Mission (VBM) and enhance its efficiency.
  • Phase 2 of Vande Bharat Mission extended from 17 May to 13 June 2020. So far of 173 flights and 3 ships covering 34 countries. Target 100,000 passengers from 60 countries.
  • Preparations for 3rd phase – widening our footprint has commenced.
  • Increase in entry points and expanded feeder flights being planned.
  • Arrangements being made for amnesty beneficiaries in the Gulf.
  • Air India will shortly shift to direct ticketing to facilitate bookings abroad.
  • Center is working with state governments for more efficient use of cumulative quarantine capacity.

Under the Vande Bharat Mission, Indian Nationals abroad having “compelling reasons” are being brought back to India which includes elderly people, students, pregnant women and nationals who are facing the prospect of deportation.

List of repatriation flights to India from Doha for the ongoing Phase-2: 29-May to 04-June 2020

Embassy of India Doha in a recent tweet shared a list of flights scheduled to leave Doha to various Indian cities for the ongoing phase-2. Flights to Kannur, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Srinagar / Amristar, Chennai, Thiruvanathapuram and Lucknow are scheduled from Doha between 29th May to 4th June 2020.

Under the Vande Bharat Mission, Indians living abroad are being repatriated back from many countries including Qatar. Phase-2 of repatriation is in progress and as on 25th May 2020, 9 flights from Doha has left to India carrying 1520 passengers from Qatar, plus 45 infants.

On 22-May, Indian Embassy Doha has tweeted a tentative list of destinations approved for the next round of repatriation flights from Qatar after the Eid holidays.

16000 will also continue to provide a 24/7 call centre service for all enquiries in relation to the COVID-19.
